An interesting pair of spiral
galaxies
NGC 5965
(edge-on) and
NGC 5963
(face-on) is situated in the constellation Draco. While NGC
5965 (huge, with diameter of about 250.000 light years) is
located at a distance 150 million light-years from Earth,
much smaller NGC 5963 with extraordinarily faint blue spiral
arms (~ a low surface brightness galaxy and difficult
target) "only" some 40 MLY.
