This nice trio of edge-on spiral
galaxies (NGC 4222,
NGC4216 and NGC4206)
is located near the center of the
Virgo Galaxy
cluster, some 50 millon light years from Earth.
The central
NGC 4216
is one of the largest and brightest spiral galaxies of the
Virgo Cluster (brighter than the Andromeda Galaxy). Many smaller galaxies in the background.
